To help with these moves, U-Pack provides military moving specialists, dedicated to answering questions about moving to army bases and helping you plan your military move. Here are answers to some of our most common questions about moving to an army base:
Can U-Pack move me to an army base?
Yes! Using U-Pack to do a PPM (formally DITY) within the U.S. (including Alaska and Hawaii) is a great decision. When requested, U-Pack can provide both empty and full certified weight tickets (necessary for PPM reimbursement). And because U-Pack prices are based on the linear footage your shipment occupies in the moving trailer or the number of ReloCubes you use, often times our military customers actually MAKE money on their move! When your move costs less than your PPM allowance, you get to pocket the difference!
How do I move to an army base with U-Pack?
We recommend first making an appointment with your origin Transportation Office or Personal Property Shipping Office to determine the exact details of your move. Your allowance will depend on factors like rank, shipment weight and your locations.

Why should I use U-Pack to PCS?
There are a lot of reasons to choose U-Pack – it’s the low-cost way to PCS! Pack and load at your own pace, and drive in your own vehicle to your new duty station. U-Pack allows up to 3 business days for loading and unloading, and transit times average 2-5 business days.
