Going Away Party Playlist

Are you moving to start a new job?  Start a new life? Follow a dream?  Let’s celebrate!  Saying your goodbyes doesn’t have to be sad.  Throw a going away party and have some fun before you move. I’m a firm believer that music makes the party.  Whether you need music for that going away party, or just want to play some tunes as you pack, these songs will set the mood for a happy goodbye.

Party Songs

These are just great songs for a crowd that will really get people in the groove.  Some are great sing-a-longs, some are group dances, but they will all get a “I love this song!” response from your friends!

  • Don’t Stop Believin’ – Journey
  • Old Time Rock and Roll – Bob Seger
  • Cha Cha Slide – DJ Casper
  • The Twist – Chubby Checker
  • Party Rock Anthem – LMFAO
  • You Shook Me All Night Long – ACDC

Farewell Songs

These are songs that talk about moving, leaving, traveling and so on.  We didn’t pick slow, sad songs because your going away party playlist should be upbeat and fun.

Destination Songs

There are so many songs out there about places!  It would be fun to find songs about the specific place where you are moving to, but these destination songs would make a great addition to your going away party playlist!

  • Sweet Home Alabama – Lynyrd Skynyrd
  • Beverly Hills – Weezer
  • Miami – Will Smith
