Do Penske Coupons Really Save Money?

Will a Penske truck rental coupon save me money?

Before you book your move, you may be searching for a Penske coupon or Penske discount code. If you’re able to track down one of these discounts, you might find that it doesn’t make as big of an impact as you initially thought. While the coupon code could take a little bit off the cost of the rental truck, it won’t cover any of the “soft costs” associated with truck rentals like fuel, travel, and liability coverage. Let’s dig in and take a look at the discounts, those extra costs, and explore other ways you can save money on your long distance move.

Furniture Moving Straps

Prevent injuries using moving straps

If you have large pieces of furniture to move, you may be wondering how to handle it. You could hire movers or rent a furniture dolly. However, for furniture that’s big or heavy, the easiest way to move it is by using furniture straps. Our Forearm Forklift straps are heavy-duty nylon straps that use leverage, not strength, to lift items. They help prevent injury by allowing you to bend at the knees when you lift, and by reducing the load up to 66%. Let’s take a closer look at how to use Forearm Forklift moving straps to move furniture.

Do I need a passport to move to Canada?

December 7th, 2015 - 3:22 PM
Do I need a passport to move to Canada?

Is a passport required to move to Canada?

Not always – it depends on how you plan to get there. The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative requires U.S. travelers to present documents proving their citizenship. Ideally, this is a passport, but you may be able to use other documents depending on your mode of transportation. However, the Canadian Border Patrol recommends you carry your passport if you travel internationally, regardless of your transportation choice and the requirements.

Note: If you don’t have your passport and need one quick, be sure to check passport processing times. Routine and expedited service times can vary based on the time of the year.

Let’s look at each mode of transportation and what documents are required when entering Canada.

U-Pack helps Toys for Tots store Christmas toy donations

U-Pack is teaming up with Toys for Tots this holiday season! We’re honored to assist Toys for Tots with their annual goal of bringing the joy of Christmas to disadvantaged children by providing moving containers to store the donations collected from local toy drives.

While this isn’t the first time U-Pack has participated in Toys for Tots events, it is the first year we’ve contributed on a national level. Local toy drives often result in thousands of donations, making temporary storage a necessity for regional coordinators.

Wardrobe Boxes

Wardrobe Boxes

Why use wardrobe boxes for moving?

If you have hanging clothes to move, the easiest and safest way to do that is to use wardrobe boxes. They’re tall boxes with a hanging rod that keep clothes protected from damage. Keep in mind that using the ever-popular “trash bag method” to move your clothes makes them wrinkled, and it’s easy to tear through the bag (and tear your clothes!) without sturdy protection. Using wardrobe boxes for moving also makes it simple to transfer clothing from the closet to the box, and then into the new closet. Let’s figure out how many wardrobe moving boxes you need, how to use wardrobe boxes, and where to order them at a discount.
