It’s Flashback Friday! Each week we take a look back at posts that readers have found helpful in the past. Since we're celebrating Military Appreciation Month in May, we’ll be spending a lot of time on all things military related throughout the month. Today’s post – DITY Move – is one from way back (it was first posted in 2008). We've made a few updates to make the information current, and I think you'll find it very helpful, especially if you're planning a DITY move soon. Happy Friday!

Fourteen years ago, Congress designated May as the month for Americans to recognize and honor all of the men and women who have so bravely served our country – past, present and future. And that honor is certainly deserved.
Here at U-Pack, we want to raise awareness about the month and recognize service members, veterans and their families. Thank you. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your commitment – it does not go unnoticed.

Military Move with U-Pack
When you're doing a military move, it can sometimes be a "hurry up and wait" affair. You may know that you're moving from Camp Pendleton in two weeks, but not know where. You might also know that you'll be moving to Fort Campbell, but have no idea when. This can create quite a problem with most moving companies. It's easy to get movers in Fort Hood, Texas but if you find your destination is Fort Greely, Alaska they may not be so readily available – then you're out of luck.

Are you moving to Fort Hood and don't know where to start? Let me make a suggestion – start with getting a moving quote from U-Pack and compare the savings to other Fort Hood moving companies.
More than likely you're already familiar with DITY moving (do-it-yourself). But, just in case, I'll give you a quick run-down:
