May is Military Appreciation Month!

May 2nd, 2012 - 11:19 AM

Fourteen years ago, Congress designated May as the month for Americans to recognize and honor all of the men and women who have so bravely served our country – past, present and future. And that honor is certainly deserved.

Here at U-Pack, we want to raise awareness about the month and recognize service members, veterans and their families. Thank you. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your commitment – it does not go unnoticed.

U-Pack Portable Storage

April 30th, 2012 - 10:01 AM

Summer is just around the corner, and you know what that means? People are moving! Beginning in May, and moving into September, you’ll see more moving trucks in people’s driveways, at storage facilities, and on the interstates than you will any other time of the year. These are, by far, the most popular months of the year for moving. But they’re also popular for something else – storage – more specifically, portable storage.

What To Do When Moving To A New City

April 17th, 2012 - 9:44 AM

What are your reasons for moving to a new city – brand new job, a job transfer, getting closer to family, getting married, restarting your life? Whatever has you moving, the first order of business is to get a plan.

I know; we’re always talking about plans around here. But experience tells us that when it comes to something as big as a move to a new city, knowing the how, when, and where of what’s going to happen is a huge game-changer.

Step 1
Start researching moving companies.

What is the Cheapest Moving Option?

April 16th, 2012 - 9:48 AM

I wish there was a simple answer to that question. Though it leans toward being as complicated the age-old “What is the meaning of life?” question. But here’s what I can tell you (with confidence): the best place to start is by getting moving quotes. It sounds simple, doesn’t it? Before you can figure out which service is most affordable, you’ll need to have prices to compare. Just make sure to start early; I recommend at least 30-60 days in advance. That gives you plenty of time to research, weigh the pros and cons of each mover and make sure you’re getting all of the services you need (while still staying within your budget).

What Moves You? Summing Up the Road Trip of a Lifetime

March 27th, 2012 - 2:11 PM

In her last post, Miki explains why she trusts U-Pack when it comes to moving long distance. Capping off the cross-country road trip she and her grandmother took while U-Pack handled their big move, Miki now has a published blog series to document the unforgettable experience. Read on!

When I chose a moving company for my grandmother, I wanted the best. I mean, this would be the company that would move her 86 years of belongings; her treasures. I don’t think I can ever fully articulate how thankful I am for the services of ABF U-Pack Moving—not just for my own move two years ago, but especially for my grandmother’s.
