In my former life, I worked as a residence hall director at a university. During that time I picked up on the importance of living on-campus, especially for underclassmen. Studies show that students who live on campus have higher GPAs, are more likely to graduate, do a better job of making friends and getting connected, have less stresses about money, become more successful leaders, and have a better over-all college experience. I'll take that.
So what are the colleges with highest student population living on-campus? Check out this infographic just released in the U-Pack Press Release – Dorm Life: Living On-Campus. A little interesting tidbit you'll find on the infographic: 40% of college students nationwide live in on-campus housing.
What do you think – on-campus or off? How did your decision impact your college experience?
