It's Flashback Friday— each week, U-Pack will revisit a blog topic that's been helpful and fun for our readers. Be sure to check the comments section of each post for even more valuable moving advice! Moving pods are still one of the most popular ways to move cross country. It makes sense— portable storage containers are easy to load, they're secure, and are designed to be weatherproof. After you check out this post, try a free moving quote from U-Pack to see how it compares to other pods rates. We've talked a little before about moving pods – the different kinds, how they work etc. And, we've clarified before that although we're not the company PODS©, we provide a similar containerized moving service, and people often refer to our ReloCube® as "pods". But what we haven't talked about are pods rates. And, I guess answering the question "how much do pods cost?" is probably the next thing on your mind. Obviously, I can't answer that question if you're talking about the actual company PODS©, but I can give you some information on pods rates if you're referring to the services U-Pack offers. And, really, when you compare pods rates, I think you'll be pleased with U-Pack's price. First, in case you aren't familiar with a ReloCube, it's a 6'x7'x8' moving container – that translates into 336 cubic feet. It typically holds one room of furniture (or a studio-sized apartment). Now, as far as figuring out how much it costs to move in a pod, there's a quick and easy way to find out. U-Pack offers free (no-obligation) moving quotes. All you have to do is enter the city/state you're moving from, the city/state you're moving to, select the size home you're moving from the drop-down box and enter an estimated move date. You'll get an instant quote showing the number of ReloCubes U-Pack recommends for your move, along with the price for moving and storage (you can choose just moving, just storage or a combination). Then, you'll have the ability to compare pods rates to determine the service that works best for your needs and moving budget. |

I need help on a weekend...Ive reserved a move using ABF Upacks trailer. Now I have concerns about the trailer on my street. I want to see if I can switch to Relocubes if needed. My drop off is scheduled this Thursday. Please advise me on this when you can early on Monday. Thanks!
