This is info you'll need if you're moving in an ABF trailer or ReloCube.

We recommend that you make sure you have parking available for the ReloCube(s) or ABF trailer at least two weeks before your move.

Moving Truck Parking – ABF Trailer move
Just make sure you've got enough room to accommodate the size of the moving trailer plus a little extra to allow the driver to park it and pick it up (see diagram below). You'll also need to make sure there is enough room to open the doors and use the moving ramp. It's kind of like parallel parking your car…you need a little more space than the length of your car to fit it in the space, and you don't want to park so close that you can't open the door to get out.

Commercial trailers are heavy, so you'll need to have a level, hard surface - like pavement or hard packed gravel. Our driver can't park it on grass or other soft ground because it's likely it would get stuck.

Moving Truck Parking – ReloCube Move
The ReloCube requires less area for parking than a trailer. It will fit into a standard sized parking space (see diagram below). Like the trailer, you'll need to make sure you have a hard, flat surface for parking. Most of the forklifts that we use are all-terrain and can manage gravel, but there are some in the system that do not have a lot of traction, so pavement is required. If you have a question about the equipment in your particular area, please give U-Pack or your local ABF service center a call and we'll check it out for you.

Legal Parking?
Once you've determined that you have a safe place to park the trailer or ReloCube, your next step is to make sure it's legal. We recommend that you check with your local police department or city offices to see if a parking permit or special authorization is needed. A quick phone call could save you the expense of a tow or a citation.
