Not sure if you need a parking permit in your city? 

It’s a good idea to check it out – because some cities require that you have obstruction or parking permits.  

Why get a parking permit?

• It ensures that your ABF moving trailer or ReloCube has a guaranteed place to park on your move day. 
• It keeps you from getting a ticket for the equipment being double parked or parked in a loading zone without authorization.
• It ensures that you have a safe, clear area for loading and unloading. 
• It ensures that while your trailer is being loaded or unloaded you will be as close as possible to your building or home and won’t have to worry about cars parking in your permit space. 

How to get a parking permit:
As a rule, a parking permit can be obtained at your city hall.  Typically “Notices” must be distributed 48 hours before the move to make sure residents in the area are aware of the situation.  So, make sure you give yourself enough time to complete the necessary steps in getting and posting your parking permit.

The amount of time for which a permit is issued varies slightly by city. So call your City Hall early.
