Easy directions for how to pack picture frames and knickknacks

1.      Line the box with crushed packing paper. This will provide extra protection and cushion for your items.

2.      Wrap and place each item upright in the box.

For picture frames
: Place the frame on the packing paper so that the bottom edge of the frame faces a corner of the paper. Then, take a few sheets of paper and fold up from the corner to the center of the frame. Next, take the frame and fold into in the packing paper so that the glass of the frame is covered by the paper. Finally, fold the sides of the packing paper over the frame so it’s completely covered. Place the frame vertically into the box.

For knickknacks: Place the item on the packing paper, and use several sheets to wrap the item completely in the paper. Place the knickknack upright in the bottom of the box. Be mindful of the weight of each item, and pack heavier knickknacks on the bottom and lighter knickknacks on top to prevent damage.

3.      Fill gaps with crushed packing paper. This will help secure items inside the box and prevent shifting during transit.

4.      Tape and mark the box. Use a marker to write “Fragile” and the contents of the items inside on the outside of the box.

Pro tip: If you have a large amount of frames and knickknacks, consider using a dish pack box as opposed to using a regular moving box. You’ll be able to fit more items into the box.
