How Much Does It Cost To Move? Category: Moving Costs

I have to say this is the question I am asked most often. And, it makes sense. Sure, when you’re moving there are plenty of other questions to be asked, but in the end two things normally matter the most: Price and dependability. Isn’t that true with almost anything?

I mean, I’d be willing to give up some conveniences to save a few dollars. Take my car for instance – I could have added the sun roof and heated seats, but I also could have paid a few thousand more…not worth it. I guess the big question is how much you’re willing to give up for a lower price. Convenience, maybe…dependability, probably not.

But, we’re talking about moving and not cars. So, let’s get back to the original question:

How much does it cost to move? Well, it depends on several factors, like where you’re moving from and to, how much you’re moving and when you’re moving (ask about peak and off-peak days, you might save a little money). I can tell you though that you should find U-Pack costs about the same as truck rental. But here’s the kicker – you don’t have to drive. Hard to believe, I know. But, it’s true.

To find out how much it costs to move with U-Pack, give us a call today at 800.413.4799   – we’ll ask for the zip codes you’re moving from and to, we’ll ask for your move date (an estimate is fine) and we’ll ask you to estimate how much you’ll be moving - if you want help with estimating your space ahead of time, use the room-by-room space estimator. It's quick and easy.

I’ve found that the price for Upack is comparable to or better than renting a Uhaul. However, what I don’t see on this site is whether or not the Upack trailer can/will accommodate also transporting my car. I’d like to work exclusively with this company without having to hire an additional moving company. What options, if any, do I have for having my 2006 Buick (4D, sedan) included????? Thanks, in advance, for a quick reply.

Kiya,
Thanks for the positive comments! Unfortunately, we're not equipped to transport vehicles - Some of these previous auto shipping posts may give you a little more information about what to look for in an auto shipper. We feel comfortable recommending Dependable Auto Shippers - 888-231-4948. Thanks again!
