It's Flashback Friday— each week, U-Pack will revisit a blog topic that's been helpful and fun for our readers. Be sure to check the comments section of each post for even more valuable moving advice! You know the saying "you can't have your cake and eat it, too"? That's what many think when it comes to moving— if it's easy, it must cost a fortune; or if it's a good deal, then there must be a catch. But U-Pack isn't your typical moving company— in most cases, U-Pack Moving is the cheapest way to move cross country and it's a simple moving solution! Moving Cross Country Cheap If you look at moving forums like movingscam.com, or consumer review sites like epinions.com, you'll likely find that U-Pack is one of the best options for moving cross country cheap. And, not only is it cheap…it's dependable (which runs a tight race with cheap on importance in many people's opinions). In fact, at epinions.com, you'll see words like "inexpensive" and "competitive prices" used regularly. How does U-Pack accomplish moving across country cheap?
This is how your belongings travel across country with U-Pack. And, if you choose a trailer move, this is what gets dropped off at your home. It comes empty and ready to load. If you don't use the entire trailer, you don't pay for the entire trailer. You just pay for what you use (with a 5 ft. minimum). And this is one way U-Pack allows you to move cross country cheap. As you can see in the image below, ABF has close to 300 service centers located throughout the U.S. And this is great for efficient travel, fast transit times, and cost reduction. Essentially, your belongings travel similar to how a box moves through a parcel shipping system. Professional ABF drivers travel from ABF terminal to ABF terminal until they get to the terminal servicing your destination city, then a city driver delivers it to your home. Another way U-Pack can offer a way to move cross country cheap.
As the U-Pack name suggests, you do the packing, loading and unloading, and ABF does the driving. So, if you're a "do-it-yourselfer" and can handle taking on some of the work to get a lower price, a "you pack, we drive" service is a great solution. (If you're not really a "do-it-yourselfer", but still want to save money, you can add packing and loading help to your U-Pack move and still save money compared to most full-service movers.) The main problem I have is the lack of ability to plan with ABF. AND theres no Saturday delivery. Most people move on weekends and you guys dont offer any weekend delivery. That seems crazy to me. I blame myself for not thinking about that when I booked you. No one wants to commit to a day and that makes it harder for me to make other arrangements. Fail.
